Up West
Tom is nasty, brutish and short
Dick’s a one-trick oxymoron
Harry’s not listening to either
There’s a girl he’s got his eye on
Another brief encounter
Another Round of bitter
There’s an elephant needs washing
And that’s no job for a quitter
Long forgotten Kings and Queens
Dogs and ducks and suns and moons
Pub names demanding ampersands
As they do in Weatherspoons
Every bump’s a grind in here
East End boys pay West End prices
Rat like chaps in Burberry Caps
Happy tapping on their digital devices
